Born August 24, 1941 in Pitt County, North Carolina . Senior Class and Student Body president, Jacksonville High School 1958-59.

A native of Wilmington, NC, Dr. Allen, as a student at UNC Chapel Hill, scored the Tar Heels’ first-ever goal in collegiate soccer.

Native of Fort Plain, NY, Utter came to North Carolina to earn a Ph.D. at UNC Greensboro (1974) where he served as men’s head soccer coach for three years.
